TRINH HAI PHONG - "OCEAN EDU IS THE ENGLISH ENVIRONMENT I LOVE MOST"

Having studied English from Grade 2, but in Grade 3 and Grade 4, Hai Phong participated in IOE English contests and achieved the Second Prize Provincial Contest. By Grade 6, he set the goal of passing IELTS certificate so he decided to take part in the IELTS CIRCLE OF CHAMPIONS 2018 organized by Ocean Edu. The result was over-expected when Phong reached 6.0 IELTS. Currently, Phong is a member of school’s English excellent students’ team even though being too young to participate. He is also a member of the excellent students’ team at the last Provincial English Rhetoric Contest with the Consolation Prize.

Sharing about the process of learning English, Trinh Hai Phong said: “I started learning English at school from Grade 2, until Grade 3, my family enquired some English centres near my house but only until looking around the facilities, experiencing study with foreign teachers at Ocean Edu, I decided to choose this place to improve my English speaking and knowledge. Having been with Ocean Edu Lang Son for 4 years, the teachers have helped me a lot to conquer this English subject as well as various achievements”.

Good at English but one problem Hai Phong encountered during his study is writing skills. Due to his handwriting is not enough legible and neat, he often makes unfortunate mistakes during practising. Therefore, his teachers at Ocean Edu have commented, corrected for him a lot to avoid abbreviations, reckless writing ... and gradually help him overcome this shortcoming. “I like to speak English, this is also the skill that I feel confident the most. I am captivated in talking to foreign teachers at the centre or foreign friends that I ever have the opportunity to meet. In my opinion, it is Ocean Edu that has given me an international standard English environment to develop my forte and hobby of speaking English”. 

Sharing about the secret of learning English, Ocean Edu’s student said: “I regularly raise my hand to speak in class to interact with teachers, this is essential as it helps teachers better understand my weaknesses, whereby they can have an appropriate teaching method. Also at home, I am keen on playing video games which help me connect with friends around the world, and practice communicating with them during playing”. 

The goal of this 7th-grade guy is to travel around the world, experience and meet new friends. More specifically, he wishes to set foot in Australia before going to university.
