English For Children

To help children have a solid foundation of English knowledge from a young age, a stepping stone to conquer higher levels, Ocean Edu has built 3 training programs: Discovery English 4-6 years old, Challenge English 6-11 years old and Focus English 11-16 years old.

• Discovery English 4-6 years old

Discovery English is an English training program for pre-school groups from 4-6 years old. It is believed that 4-6 years old is the “golden time” for children to naturally approach a second language. Thus, Ocean Edu has constantly researched and built an appropriate course to help children maximize their intellectual potential. Thereby, children can develop comprehensively, not only in language but also in thinking, personality, physically and mentally.

The syllabus at Ocean Edu is designed in the form of fun activities such as group activities, storytelling, listening to music, etc. This helps children to approach English naturally and effectively without getting bored or pressured. At the same time, they also have access to the Hide and Seek textbooks - a new project of National Geographic, which helps to systematically accumulate knowledge on each topic.

The Discovery English program consists of 384 hours and is divided into 8 levels, equivalent to the A0 level according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

• Challenge English 6-11 years old

Following Mc Millan's Academy Stars curriculum, along with a team of experienced foreign teachers, students will be practised 4 essential English skills of listening - speaking - reading - write to be more confident.

Besides, by applying the CLIL method, the course also helps children fully equip knowledge and life skills in the new era such as critical thinking, analysis, problem-solving with some other social values.

Challenge English program concludes 12 levels, equivalent to Pre-A1, A1, A2 level according to the CEFR.

• Focus English 11-16 years old

This is an intensive program compiled by Ocean Edu for junior high school students to help them practice listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. As a consequence, children will be more assertive when communicating with native speakers, as well as conquering international English exams.

At Ocean Edu, the students will use 2 textbooks from Mc Millan and Person. At the same time, the centre also creates an English environment for students to practice soft skills such as communication, presentation, critical thinking, teamwork, etc. Especially, the program also helps students have a clear orientation in the journey to conquer IELTS 6.0.

Focus English is designed according to the CEFR with 6 levels at 12 different sub-levels.

International Certificates Preparation Program

• IELTS Preparation

The IELTS preparation course at Ocean Edu is compiled with an individualised route for each level, from beginners to those with intensive knowledge. Coming to the course, they will be able to expand their vocabulary, grammar, and practice comprehensively 4 listening - speaking - reading - writing skills to accomplish IELTS 8.5 rapidly.

The program currently has 11 levels and is divided into 2 main groups: IELTS for students aged 11-16 and IELTS for students over 16 years old.

• TOEIC Preparation

Following the actual exam, combined with the Test - Teach - Test method, the centre will help students continuously test and evaluate their English ability, recognize the strengths and weaknesses. Thereby, they can maximize their strengths, overcome their weaknesses as well as prepare for the TOEIC exam.

The TOEIC Preparation program at Ocean Edu is specially designed with 16 levels, equipping learners with all the handy knowledge and skills to achieve the best scores from basic to TOEIC 950.

Interactive English

The course is for adults who desire to improve their knowledge as well as increase their English capability for work purposes.

The program consists of 6 levels with 12 sub-levels, specially compiled, suitable for Vietnamese students. Before starting, every student will go through an entrance exam and interview directly with the foreign teacher. Ocean Edu will evaluate, advise and arrange a proper class for learners.
