SIGNING OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN OCEAN EDU VIETNAM AND NEGROS ORIENTAL STATE UNIVERSITY, PHILIPPINES

The Signing Ceremony took place at two bridge points between Ocean Edu and NORSU University. At Ocean Edu, the Signing Ceremony took place with the participation of Ms Vu Thi Thanh Loan - General Director of Ocean Edu, Mr Nguyen Van Thuong - Deputy General Director of Ocean Edu, Mr Nico James - Director of Training and Representative of Foreign teachers working at Ocean Edu.

According to the agreement, the two units will implement the project "Teaching the Teachers: A Capacity Building Extension Project for Teachers Teaching at OCEAN EDU". The program aims to address the felt needs of OCEAN EDU teachers teaching English as a foreign language to young Vietnamese learners using the communicative approach to language teaching.

Speaking at the Signing Ceremony, Mr Nico James - Training Director of Ocean Edu shared: “This memorandum of agreement is designed to develop human resources, increase capacity for teachers, enhance the English language training quality at Ocean Edu, thereby better serving the goal of raising English proficiency for millions of students in Vietnam”.

At the same time, with the goals of developing the internal force to improve service quality, Ocean Edu will also promote the conditions for teaching and learning foreign languages in the direction of applying information technology, giving priority to promoting the high-tech equipment, investing in the online and computer-based foreign language teaching and learning support system that meets the objectives of general training, bringing practical results to learners at Ocean Edu.
