Last August 13, 2016 I joined the TOEFL Junior Competition and it was the best experience I ever had! This is a great competition because I can improve my English and compete with the other students who are also very good in English. I am in Ocean Edu Ninh Binh and our branch had to compete with 7 other branches. The competition was separated into 2 parts. Part 1 was the TOEFL Junior Test and part 2 was the Word in Motion Competition. Both parts were very difficult; other branches were very tough opponents. In one week, we prepared everything, especially the Words in Motion part. We practiced our presentation many times and our performance had improved very much. We also practiced the TOEFL Junior Test but the real test was a lot harder than I thought. On Saturday, we went to Hung Yen to take the test. All of us were very excited to take the test and before going into the examination room, I was a little bit nervous. But my mom told me to be calm and confident, so I can do my test more easily. The test was quite hard, even though I practiced it vey much at home. I tried my best and actually it was not so hard afterall. When I finished the test, I felt really happy because I did it well but we couldn’t rest yet. After the TOEFL Junior Test was the Word in Motion and this is all about teamwork. My team had 12 students and our teacher prepared the most suitable song for us. We had to do it well because the other branches were also very good. When our turn came, we went on the stage and performed our song. We did it not very good, but our teacher said that it was OK and our team won the second place and I was very happy. But when I knew that I was in the top 4, I was a lot happier. My team had 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal. My team was the most successful team in the competition. Everyone was very happy. I can’t wait to go to Ha Noi to join the TOEFL Junior Competition. It’s going to be very hard, but I’ll try my best to get a high score.
